More than 20,000 colorful eggs will cover the football field at Veterans Memorial Park this Saturday for the 33rd annual Community Egg Hunt.

The annual Easter festivities will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with concessions, train rides, a bike raffle, face painting and photos with the Easter Bunny.

The egg hunt will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m.,  and will be divided into five age groups: 0-2/handicap (one parent may assist), 3-4, 5-6, 7-9 and 10-12.

Admission to the egg hunt is free.

All proceeds from the event benefit K.A.R.E. for Kids, a nonprofit organization that provides for children in need in Dawson County.

The event is sponsored by Dawson County FFA, Dawson County Parks and Recreation and McKee’s Chapel UMC.

Veterans Memorial Park is at 186 Recreation Road in Dawsonville.
