Starting May 21, Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge in Dawson County will reopen the Maple Restaurant to the public, with limited capacity and social distancing procedures in place, according to a recent press release.

The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the restaurant will be following Georgia State guidelines for operating with limited group sizes and limited capacity. Reservations for lunch and dinner dining are recommended, according to the Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge website.

In late March, the Amicalola Falls Lodge announced that its patio, overlook and lobby would be restricted to overnight guests and check-ins only, and the lodge's restaurant and playground would be closed.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic park trails, picnic areas and bathrooms remained open to the public with safety and social distancing requirements.
