Law enforcement in Dawson County is actively searching for three suspects who burglarized a Burberry store at the North Georgia Premium Outlets this weekend.

According to reports, on April 23 at approximately 6:37 a.m., officers responded to a burglar alarm at the Burberry store. While in route to the location, the responding officers received word that a mall security officer was on scene and had witnessed three black males running from the store, carrying bags full of clothing.

According to police, the males entered a silver compact car and sped off in the direction of Ga. 400.

During this time, a BOLO was placed with neighboring Forsyth County. A Forsyth County Sheriff's deputy made contact and pursued the suspects to I-285, where the pursuit was cancelled.

It is estimated that the thieves stole approximately $40,000 worth of clothing. Sheriff Jeff Johnson said that the office's criminal investigations component is actively working on the case.

No arrests had been made as of press time.
