On behalf of the Dawson County Library, I would like to commend the Dawson County Roads Department for their admirable performance during the recent snowstorm.
On Thursday (Jan. 13), when we had enough employees that could get out of their subdivisions to drive to work, we reopened the library.
When I arrived at the library that morning I expected to have to clear the drive and sidewalks to ensure our patrons safety. To my amazement, the parking lot and sidewalks at the library were all shoveled and salted.
During the day, we had several patrons comment on the great job the county did getting the roads cleared. So we offer our thanks and gratitude to James Tolbert and all the people who worked so hard during that time.
