Purple is already a color that reminds us of Spring, as well as the Lenten season, but did you know that purple is a color that restores faith and hope to so many who are fighting cancer in our community?

Saturday, April 16, we will “paint” Dawsonville and Dawson County purple!

Various businesses will be having events throughout the community that will help raise funds and draw awareness to Dawson County’s Relay for Life in our fight to defeat cancer.

You will be the “odd business out” if you don’t get on board with this one. There will be bake sales, car washes, car shows, yard sales and some businesses simply plan to donate a portion of their sales to Relay for Life.

Your business can participate as well.

If you don’t already have a Relay for Life team, we can hook you up with one to donate your proceeds to or you can check out the Relay for Life Web site at www.dawsoncountyrelay.org.

Yours truly is doing a yard sale at Kroger and I will be recapping all of the businesses that helped in the paper the following week.
