Rotarians and their guests took to the greens May 7 for the group's 20th annual golf tournament at Crystal Falls Golf Club.

The team of Eric White, Eddie Register, Devon West and Charles White were the first place gross winners in the four-man scramble.

The net winners were J.W. Nay, Tim Morris, Carla and Charles Boutin.

Mike, Eric, David and Amy Ball took home second place net. Charles Buckner, Mike Underwood, Bryon Hendrix and Todd Buckner won second place gross.

Individual award winners were Amy Ball, who won the long drive challenge, and Jim Bohl for driving closest to the pin.

Nearly 20 teams competed in the tourney that benefits the group's various programs throughout the coming year.

Publicity chair Dave Seldomridge said Rotary sponsors local literacy efforts through WEE Books and the adult learning center. The group also contributes to the senior center, arts council, United Way and a fund to recognize the county and city governments' employees of the year.

"We also give two scholarships to Dawson County High School seniors and give a leadership award for essays at the high school," he said.
