Other swimmers for Dawsonville racing in the Dacula meet were: Ashlan Miller, Megan Dixon, Ella Siuta, Anna Mulberry, Elliott Kinsey, Erin Jones, Lindsay O'Saben, Meghan Gallamore and Keylan Steffins.

The Dawsonville Racer swim team competed in a meet at Dacula on June 23.

"I thought everyone did great and I was really proud of them," said head coach Stephanie Morgan.

There were 59 different events held with Dawsonville swimmers racing and doing well in most of them.

Age groups range from 6 and under to ages 15-18, in both the male and female categories.

Racer Kaylee Barrett captured first place in the women's 25-meter butterfly with a time of 22.48 in the 10 and under division.

Three Dawsonville Racers came in second place.

Luke Mulberry was runner-up in the boy's 25-meter free style in the 8 and under age group. Mulberry finished with a time of 21.08.

Isabelle Kinsey crossed the finish line in second place in the 8 and under, 25-meter butterfly. Kinsey recorded a time of 30.71.

In the girl's 10 and under 25-meter backstroke, Hannah Moulder came in second with a time of 22.51.

Swimmers that finished in third place were: Luke Mulberry, 50-meter free, Kaylee Barrett, 50-meter free, Hannah Moulder, 25-meter free and 25-meter fly and Taylor Barrett in the 50-meter fly.

The Racers competed in the district meet, a state qualifying event, on Saturday. The meet was held at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center in Clarkesville. Results were not available as of press time.
