For the third race this season, Chase Elliott will start in the pole position at Dover International Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 22. 

Instead of using the random draw process that NASCAR has been using since returning in May, Elliott won the Busch Pole Award based off his placement in three separate categories: owner points position, his finish in the most recently completed race and the fastest lap in the most completed race. 

Elliott won and had the fastest lap during Sunday's race at Daytona International Speedway's, the speedway's first-ever road course race. 

Saturday's race in Dover will start at 4 p.m.
