The Dawson County Middle School softball team just can’t catch a break with the weather. On Friday, the Lady Tigers played host to Union County. Trailing just 3-2 in the third inning lightning was detected in the area and players were removed from the playing field.

After the 30-minute break the Lady Tigers didn’t play well and Union came away with a 15-2 victory.

With the loss, the team is 0-3 on the season.

“Megan Brumbelow had some amazing catches at shortstop. Sara Sheppard and Peytan Porter had two solid hits driving in our two runs,” said Head Coach Karen Spencer.

The Lady Tigers will travel to Jasper this Friday to take on the Nettes. Game time will be at 4:30 p.m.
