Coach Steven Moates and his seventh grade Tiger basketball team played Gilmer County last week and came away with a 37-30 victory.

Lucas Pain led the Tigers in scoring with 14 points. Cameron Millholland chipped in with six points, Colton Chester and Sam Muenchen each contributed five points in the winning cause.

“Lucas is averaging 15 points per game for our first two games,” said Moates.

“Cameron is also doing well with a lot of assists and he is penetrating the ball very well,” he added.

Moates commented about his teams effort, “We started off slow, but we picked it up in the second half. I’m really happy with the way we’ve played in the first two games, but there is room for improvement. I’m expecting the team to get better and better with each game.”
