The Dawson County Middle School seventh grade boys’ basketball team dropped a 42-29 decision at home Nov. 15.

With the loss Dawson dropped to 0-3.

Dawson was down by only three points at the half, but Fannin outscored the Tigers 12-4 in the third quarter to lead 34-23 as the clock struck zero.

“We started out pretty strong this game,” said Head Coach Steven Moates. “The second half we didn’t come out shooting really well. Turnovers and rebounding were issues in the second half. The guys played hard, but we have to be consistent for four quarters.”

Brody Chester led the Tigers in scoring with 13 points.

Chester was followed by Tyler Palmer with 11 points and Dillard Blanton with two points.
