The Dawson County Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team improved its record to 3-0 with a huge 50-8 win over Fannin County Nov. 18 in Dawsonville.

 

The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 24-0 lead over the Lady Rebels as the first quarter ended. The Lady Tigers increased the lead to 36-2 by halftime.

 

“We were able to relax and play everyone,” said Head Coach Tina Brown.

 

The Lady Tigers placed three players in double digit scoring. Haley Burgess led the team with 17 points. Karlie Bearden and Peytan Porter added 12 and 10 points respectively in the victory.

 

Also getting in the scoring column were Ansley Costley with 7 points and Lauren Burgess with 4 points.
