Middle school girls set to play championship

The Lady Tigers recently hosted Jasper Middle School conquering another 8-2 win.

  

Goals from Kenna Seitz, Brittany Duffy, Libby Redmon and first goals by Allie Costley and Stephanie Lefler, led the Lady Tigers to victory.

  

The team’s eighth graders were recognized for their sports, academic achievements and activities during their eighth grade seasons.

  

The Lady Tigers clinched first place in their division against Clear Creek with a 4-0 shut out. 

  

The team traveled to Gilmer County and even the cold and rain could not stop the Lady Tigers.

  

Samantha Phelps netted her first goal of the season. Also scoring were Seitz and Redmon. 

  

In the first round playoff game, the Lady Tigers defeated their county rival, Riverview Middle School, 3-1. 

  

Martie Rogers scored her first goal of the season for the Lady Tigers.

The team will now compete in the championship game at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 at Clear Creek Middle School.
