The Riverview Middle School seventh grade boys' basketball team remained undefeated following a, 44-42, overtime win against Fannin County last week.

Coach Mark Thomason's team held a 3-point lead in regulation of the Dec. 12 game with nine seconds remaining when a Fannin player launched a desperation shot at the buzzer that tied the score at 35 and sent the game into overtime.

The Eagles pulled out the win by outscoring the Rebels, 9-7, to keep their unblemished record.

Connor Bearden scored 26 points for the Eagles.

Cullen Reed added 10 points in the win.

"Connor's offense and Ryan Gallenkamp's defense helped to get this victory," Thomason said.

Riverview is currently 7-0 on the season.
