Lady Eagles hold on for win

Head Coach Rhonda Sillesky’s seventh grade Riverview Middle School girls’ basketball team defeated Union County 30-24 Nov. 15 at Riverview.

 

“The girls played strong defense in the first half,” Sillesky said. “We struggled defensively in the fourth quarter, but held on to get the win.”

 

Tabitha Morrison led all Lady Eagle scorers with 9 points. Also getting in the scoring column were Heather Brady with 8 points, Emily Queen added 7 points, Caitlyn Daniel had 4 points, and Eliza Sillesky rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

 

The Lady Eagles will play next at 4 p.m. Nov. 30 at Clear Creek Middle School.
