Riverview Middle School Head Football Coach Mark Thomason has planned several summer activities and workouts for his Eagle team this summer.

The team has been working out on Tuesday's and Thursday's throughout June from 4 to 6 p.m. at Riverview Middle School.

Eagle workouts will continue in July after the "dead week," which is July 4-8 this year.

Linemen and skill players will participate in agilities, weightlifting and conditioning from 4 to 6 p.m. on July 11, 18, 19, 21, 25 and 28.

The team will also play in three passing leagues.

On July 12 the team will host a passing league with Liberty and Riverwatch middle schools from 5 to 7 p.m.

Thomason's skill players will participate in a Fellowship of Christian Athletes passing camp at C.W. Davis Middle School in Flowery Branch from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 14.

The last tune-up for skill players will be on July 26 when they travel to White County for a passing league from 6 to 8 p.m.

Thomason wants to remind his linemen that they will still have workouts during those days that passing camp is going on from 4 to 6 p.m.

Regular season practice will begin at 4 p.m. Aug. 1 at Riverview Middle School.

All players must have a current physical and insurance.
