The eighth grade girls’ basketball team at Dawson County Junior High School won the Mountain League Championship last week, defeating Fannin County 30-26. “Each player on this team played a crucial part in the success of our season,” head coach Natosha Beary said. Beary also said that the team’s success was inspired by legendary college basketball coach Pat Summitt and her ‘definite dozen’ philosophy.
