The Riverview Middle School Lady Eagle soccer team defeated Clear Creek Middle 9-0 last week.

The Lady Eagles scored just 14 second into the game to take the quick 1-0 lead.

Mackenzie Callas had a huge game for coach John Lundy's team. She scored four goals.

Also scoring for Riverview were Kathryn Ryerse and Zoe Grindstaff with two goals each and Ave Walker with one goal.

"I was proud of the girls' effort from the first whistle. Our girls kept up the hustle throughout," Lundy said.

"Zoe (Grindstaff) and Bailey Cotter did an awesome job on offense and have made a huge impact this season," Lundy said. "On defense, seventh grader Grace Sheer was all over the place, helping keep the shut out."

Lundy said he is hopeful that his team is on the mend and on the right track.

"This season has had its ups and downs, with a lot of our players being out sick, but I feel like the girls are getting healthier and things are coming together at the right time," he said.
