Haley Burgess tallied 22 points in a 45-20 rout over Jasper Middle School recently at home. Burgess scored more points than the entire Jasper team.

With the win the Dawson County Middle eighth grade girls' team remains undefeated with a perfect 5-0 record.

"We got off to a slow start, but kept battling back. This was an aggressive team that showed up to play," said Head Coach Tina Brown.

In addition to H. Burgess, other Lady Tigers' scorers were: Summer Vaughan - 8 points; Ansley Costley - 5 points; Peytan Porter - 4 points; Karlie Bearden - 4 points and Brittany Griggs - 2 points.

"I am proud of my girls for a great first half of the season," Brown said.

The game was the ladies last until after the Christmas break.

The Lady Tigers will play host to cross county rival Riverview Middle at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 5.
