Coach Mark Thomason's eighth grade Riverview Middle School Eagles boys' basketball team remains undefeated following wins over Jasper and Clear Creek.

The team defeated Jasper by a 44-12 score and Clear Creek by a final of 52-36.

The team is currently 4-0 on the season.

In the win at Jasper, Connor Bearden and Cullen Reed scored 19 and 15 points respectively to lead all scorers. Reed also pulled down four rebounds.

Riverview jumped on the Dragons early and led 13-4 after only quarter of play.

Thomason's team continued to pour on the offense, and outscored Jasper 15-2 in the second quarter to take a 28-6 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

Also scoring for Riverview was Ryan Gallenkamp with six points. The leading rebounded for the Eagles was Coby Cagle with six rebounds.

It was much the same story in the win over Clear Creek. Riverview dominated the boards and out rebounded the Bobcats 32-13 with Gallenkamp leading the way with eight rebounds.

Riverview also were consistent on offense and scored 14 points in each of the first three quarters. The game was never in doubt with the Eagles leading 28-14 after two quarters of play.

Bearden led all scorers with 20 points, while also pulling down four rebounds.

Reed had nine points and six rebounds, while teammate Wyatt Haase had seven points and three rebounds in the contest.

Thomason's team will play again next at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 6 at Dawson County Middle School.
