Head Coach Rhonda Sillesky continues to see improvement with her eighth grade girls basketball team at Riverview Middle.

Despite the improvement the Lady Eagles dropped a close contest to Clear Creek last week, 37-32.

With the loss, Riverview is off to an 0-2 start this season.

"I must say we played probably one of our best games as a team," Sillesky said. "We are still struggling with turnovers, but the girls are determined to continue to improve."

Emily Queen led all Riverview players in scoring with 8 points.

Riverview had a great second quarter and took a 16-9 lead into halftime.

However, in the second half Clear Creek took over and outscored the Lady Eagles 28-16 to take the victory.

The Lady Eagles will take the court next at 4 p.m. Nov. 29 when they host Pickens Middle.

Lady Eagles' scorers were: Ashton Abbott - 5 points, Tabitha Morrison - 5 points, Heather Brady - 4 points, Katelynn Simpson - 4 points, Tina Libao - 2 points, Savanna Skinner - 2 points and Eliza Sillesky - 2 points.
