The Dawson County Lady Tigers traveled to Franklin County last week and came away with a shutout.

The girls' soccer team won over Franklin 10-0 while the team achieved their 10th shutout of the season on March 29.

"What was great about tonight is we had three girls score their first career varsity goals. Sophomore Grace Sheer scored two goals and freshman Lindsey LeBaron and Taylor Rahn. I was so happy for them," said Coach Jed Lacey.

Senior Tina Libao put in four goals of her own, the most of any player on the season. She also had an assist.

"We will not take anything for granted and will focus on one thing and one thing only-a state championship." Lacey said.

The Lady Tigers are on Spring Break this week but will return for two region games and one non-region game before the state playoff.

With the win, Dawson County moves to 11-1-1 overall and 4-0 in Region 7AAA. They remain No. 2 in the state.

They face Banks County for senior night at 5:30 p.m. on April 15 at home.
