The Dawson County High School Lady Tiger basketball team has a busy summer planned. Head Coach Steve Sweat and his varsity and junior varsity basketball teams have already begun preparing for next season with several practice games and camps.

After five practices the team headed to Pickens County High School in Jasper for a series of games against some tough opponents. Games against the likes of AAAAA power North Gwinnett, Duluth, and other big schools will help Dawson County get ready for next year, according to Sweat.

The team also attended a second session at Pickens County High School at the beginning of the week.

Sweat will then evaluate the progress of his team and try to correct them with practices on June 20, 21 and 23 at Dawson County High School.

The Lady Tigers will close the summer with a team camp at Georgia College in Milledgeville on June 27-29.
