At a ceremony in the Dawson County High School lunchroom on Wednesday, Feb. 23, two former members of the football team signed with college teams.
Wide receiver Bailey Dameron signed with Missouri Baptist University after playing a major role in Tigers’ offensive success this past season. He caught 70 passes for 1,220 yards over 12 games and scored seven touchdowns.
Offensive lineman Connor Scroggins signed with Presbyterian College after helping protect quarterback Zach Holtzclaw throughout the season. His tenacity in the trenches helped the Tigers to a second-round appearance in the state playoffs.
