The Dawson County Tigers defeated the White County Warriors on Tuesday, Feb. 25, with a final score of 14-4 in six innings. It was the Tigers fourth game in a row to end in a mercy rule

Senior and Ole Miss commit Hudson Sapp led the way at the plate, hitting three home runs in four at-bats. Sapp drove in seven of the Tiger’s 14 runs.

Senior Bo Lewis went 4-4 at the plate with two home runs of his own. He added an opposite-field double in his last at-bat of the game.

Junior Andrew Burt also went 3-3 at the plate, with all three of his hits being singles.

The Warriors scored all of their runs in the first two innings of the game. Relievers Nick Mullinax and Carter Turkett pitched four scoreless innings combined.

The Tigers have now outscored opponents 94 to 11 runs with only one more non-region game left to play.

The team will travel to Calhoun on Friday to play the Gordon Central Warriors, who they beat earlier in the season 11-0.
