The Dawson County Tigers swim team completed their fourth meet of the season on Thursday, Dec. 10 at Calhoun Aquatic Center.

After four meets this season, head coach Linda Sperin said that several of her veteran swimmers are breaking their individual best times at every meet this season. Though wins and losses are not always recorded, Sperin added that the swim team was victorious against Cass High School earlier this season.

“All swimmers have been working extremely hard in practice and in our meets,” Sperin said.

Sperin’s swim roster is composed of 11 returning swimmers with nine new swimmers, or swimmers that have never swam competitively. Sperin said Gracjan Jezierski and Ayla Millar are veteran swimmers that have performed incredibly well all season. She added that the newcomers have been dropping times already this season too.

“Brendan Swafford and Ethan Smith have been working really hard this season and are steadily improving,” Sperin said.

The swim team practices three times a week and has four more meets this season. The next will be Thursday, Dec. 17 at Rome High School in Rome, Ga.
