Porter earns All-Region recognition, three others receive honorable mentions

After a strong season from the Dawson County girls’ basketball team, four players have received official recognition for their standout roles this season.

Junior guard Kirklyn Porter earned a spot on the Region 7-AAA All-Region team after showcasing her offensive prowess throughout the year, particularly from the three-point line.


One of her many highlights this season was her game-winning shot in overtime against East Forsyth.

Three other members of the Lady Tigers earned honorable mention status. These players were Ella Siuta, Morgan Chester, and Abby Slaton.
