Dawson County Cross Country swept the North Georgia Cross Country Championship, hosted by Gilmer High School, on Tuesday, Sept. 21. 

Both the boys and girls varsity teams won the meet, with sophomore Anna LeCave and senior Ethan Smith winning individual titles as well. Additionally, eighth grader Hayden Hand won the middle school girl’s race individually. The team finished in third. 

For varsity girls, Jules Phillips finished in the top 10 and both Izzy Knight and Bella Hunt finished 11th and 12th at the race. Devin Knight and Chase Cofield both finished within the top-10 for the varsity boys team. Addison Smith and Harper Dussouy finished top-10 for middle school girls and Luke Gloeckner finished top-10 for middle school boys. 

Official times of the race have yet to be posted on Milesplit. Dawson County News will update the article once that information is available.
