The Dawson County High School Touchdown Club hosted the mothers of senior football players for a dinner on Friday night, along with fun unique events.
After each mother finished their meal, the Tigers coaching staff took the group into the football locker room, where each woman had a framed letter from their sons, thanking them for their support.
Next, the moms put their sons’ football pads, uniforms and helmets on and walked down to the rock for a round of group photos.
“I say every year, I forget the tissues,” head football coach Sid Maxwell said at the event. “This is something I’ve done for a while just because it’s special for the entire family.”
The Dawson County football team will see their first on-field action of the season in a scrimmage at North Forsyth High School on Friday, Aug. 6.
