Ninth-graders move to 2-0

The Dawson County ninth grade boys basketball team improved its record to 2-0 with a 46-18 win over Woody Gap last Thursday.

  

Koby Rogers led the Tigers with 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

  

Jeff Partington also had a good game offensively, contributing 12 points and seven rebounds.

  

“The boys really picked up their play in the second half,” said Coach Corey Ray. “Our rebounding went up in the second half.”

  

Tiger Jesse Gee added five rebounds and five assists in the win.

  

The team will be back in action on Dec. 14 with a rematch against Woody Gap at home.

  

Tip-off will be at 7:15 p.m.
