Dawson track and field qualify for state sectionals

The Region 7-AAA Track and Field Championships took place at Tigers Stadium last Wednesday and Thursday with the top four finishers in each category qualifying for the state sectionals at Greater Atlanta Christian. Qualifying for the girls were Frankie Muldoon who was region champion in both the 800 and 1600-meter runs, Jenna LeCours who finished second in the 3200-meter run and Kaselyn Martin who finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles. In the field events, Anna Lowe was crowned region champion in the shot put and Briana Ray finished third in the pole vault. The Lady Tigers’ 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams also qualified for state.
