Baseball coaches in the 7-AAA region got together last week and awarded every senior in the region a spot on the All-Region team. 

This decision by coaches, including Dawson County Head Baseball Coach Dwayne Sapp, comes after the baseball season was cut short due to concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19.

Awarded athletes include:

• Bo Lewis

• TJ Allen

• Max Hodgson

• Payton Goodwin

• Gabe Gutierrez

• Hudson Sapp

• Mauricio Hernandez

• Kristian Kelley

“It’s an honor to be on the all-region team after having a shoulder injury right before region play, halting my pitching for the season,” Dawson County senior Kristian Kelley said following the announcement. “It's been a huge blessing to get to play with this group over the years.”

“It’s really a shame our last season together ended so soon,” Kelley said. “Just want to thank tiger baseball for all the memories!”
