Four Dawson County soccer players were named to the Region 7-AAA team last week by coaches. In the voting, no coach could vote for a player on their team.

Named to the first team were Tigers Cole Edwards and Brandon Lund. On the second team were Dawson County's Brooks Fulford and Austin Steward.

Lund finished the season with a new school record of 22 goals. The junior forward also collected 15 assists, which tied a Dawson County High School record.

Goalie Brooks Fulford, senior, allowed just 14 goals the entire season.

"I'm so proud of these players and the whole team from this past season," said Head Coach Jed Lacey.

Dawson County was eliminated by eventual Class AAA state champions St. Pius X in the Sweet Sixteen round of state play, by a 2-1 score, on penalty kicks.

The Tigers completed the season with a 15-3 overall record and a final ranking of No. 4 in Class AAA for the state.
