Western Carolina freshman and Dawson County alumna Madison Caldwell was named Southern Conference's Women's Golfer of the Week after finishing first among 20 competitors in a tri-match with Wofford College and Gardner-Webb University. "It feels good to have accomplished this as a freshman because now I have many things to look forward to," Caldwell said. Caldwell had her best collegiate round during the matchup at The Cliffs at Mountain Park when she shot one over par in the tournament on March 24.
