The Dawson County High School competition cheerleaders had their second deduction-free routine during last weekend's completion at Creekview High School.
The performance earned them the top spot for the second week in a row.
"They continue to improve with showmanship and the teams' endurance is getting better," said Coach Kim Fleming.
There are six seniors on this year's squad: Ana Swanger, Brittney Brown, Hannah Kellar, Hallie Crumley, Kaitlyn Roden and Ciarra King.
Fleming said that this is a team of fighters as they have worked their way through adversity this season.
"I have six seniors on the team and one of them is out for the remainder of the season with a torn labrum in the shoulder," Fleming said.
"It has been a roller coaster of a season. Not only that, this team has faced adversity several times through the season and somehow have managed to make it through.
"It has not been easy; it has been stressful, tearful, emotional, joyful and everything else in between," she said."
The squad will compete this coming weekend at Chestatee High School in Gainesville and Fleming feels like it will be a big test with a large number of teams competing.
"Region is two weeks away and these girls continue to push themselves to get better each week," Fleming said. "I can't wait to see what we can accomplish because I know it is going to be nothing short of amazing."
The region competition will be held starting at 9 a.m. on Nov. 5 at Dawson County High School.
