Dawsonville's Chase Elliott won his second consecutive victory in the Nationwide Series Friday at Darlington Speedway in South Carolina.

Elliott ran near the front of the pack for most of the 200-mile race and led a career high 52 laps in the 174-lap VFW Sports Clips Help a Hero 200.

Driving the No. 9 Napa Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports, Elliott was in the lead when the final caution came out with seven laps to go.

The 18-year-old came out of the pits in sixth position after taking four tires, while leader Elliott Sadler chose to go with two tires.

Elliott passed Sadler on the last lap for the lead and took the checkered flag for the second time in his Nationwide Series career.

The win follows Elliott's first career win last week as Texas Motor Speedway.
