Woody Reece Sr., 80, of Dawsonville, died June 18, 2015.

Mr. Reece was born in Dawson County on Oct. 15, 1934 to the late Joe Brown Reece and Onnie Sheriff Reece.

In addition to his parents, his brother, Clayton Reece, preceded him in death.

Mr. Reece served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He was a land surveyor for more than 30 years and was a member of McKee's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Reece of Dawsonville; two daughters, Kim Reece and Beth Jenkins, both of Dawsonville; two sons, Woody Reece Jr. and Scott Reece, both of Dawsonville; sister, Dolly Hansard of Dawsonville; brother, Ford Reece of Gainesville; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; various other relatives also survive.

Mr. Reece's wish was to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Byars Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
