Winifred Irene Porter, 94, of Cumming, died Jan. 28, 2012.

Ms. Porter was a native of Easley, S.C.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville.

A devoted wife and mother, she was also in sales for the Rich's Department Store for nine years.

Her husband, Fletcher Dorsey Porter, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Robert and Peggy Porter of Cumming; grandson and wife, Jason and Allison Porter of Dawsonville; grandson, Brad Porter of Cumming; great-grandsons, Jake and Jax Porter; niece and her daughter, Linda and Marissa Donker of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

A graveside service was held Jan. 30 at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming with the Rev. Bruce Fields officiating.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
