Wilma Rose Gurwell, fondly known as "Inspector Rose," 65, of Cumming, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008.

  

Born in Tennessee, Rose earned her bachelor's degree in Sacred Literature from the Circleville Bible College in Ohio and served as a missionary for many years.

 

She worked in gold and uranium mines in the west and then began her nearly 20-year career as an Inspector with the USDA working in the New York, Florida and Georgia regions.

  

Survivors include her former husband; three children in Guam, Tennessee and New York; five grandchildren; friends across the country and world; various other relatives also survive.

  

Memorial services will be Friday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Ray Martin officiating.

  

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

  

It was Rose's request that books be donated to local libraries in her memory or that donations be made to Harvest of Hope, 1117 E. Westview Court, Spokane, WA 99218.

  Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
