William "Scott" Truitt, 57, of Dawsonville born December 13, 1963, changed his address to Heaven on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. He is resting in the arms of Jesus, a place he preached about and longed for so long. He was born to the late Billy and Pat Truitt. He was a loving husband, father, Paw Paw, brother, uncle, cousin, beloved Pastor of 31 years, mentor, friend, and touched the soul of everyone he came in contact with. He enjoyed outdoors, his farm animals, entertaining, telling jokes to put a smile on your face, and focused every breath loving and caring for his family and County Line Baptist Church family of 31 years. His calling, a servant’s heart; his passion feeding and ministering to the homeless and overseas missions. He loved to sing and play his piano for Jesus.

Reunited in heaven with his parents, grandparents and many other relatives and friends.

Survived by his wife of 35 years, Lynn Truitt; children, Brittany and Darrell Payne, Emily and Jacob Kirk; grandchild, Paisley Payne, his precious gift "Pai Pai"; brother, Wayne and Shirley Truitt; sister, Wanda Truitt; aunt, Clara Byrd; mother-in-love and father in-love, Rayford and Juanita Bagwell; and many other relatives and friends.
