William Harry Croft, 71, of Cumming, died March 17, 2011.

William was an Air Force veteran and a member of Cumming New Life Church.

His mother, Mary Lee Ellis; sons, William N. Croft, Terry Jeff Croft; brothers, Danny Crowder and Roy Louis Ellis, preceded him in death.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sheryl Anne Croft of Cumming; children, David Harry and Teresa Croft, Sheryl Lynn Hammond, Lillee Hammond, all of Cumming, Deborah Anne and Gary Smith of Dawsonville, Susan Mae Lee Croft of Dahlonega; stepfather, Lee Roy Ellis; grandchildren, Heather, David II, Heidi, Stephanie, Tabitha, Brooke, Brittanee, Blake, Meagan, Jacob, Bethany, Anna, William and Makayla; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Brenda Ellis of Riverdale; nieces, Hope and Jim Homesley of Florida, Marie and Carl Williams of Waycross; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. March 19 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jacob Hamelly and David Harris officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
