William Frank Turner Sr., 86, of Ball Ground, died Saturday, March 6, 2010.

  

He was a member of Amicalola Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

  

His first wife, Gladys Turner, preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Matie Turner of Ball Ground; children, George and Denise Cole of Cumming, Frank and Sharon Turner, Doug and Tami O'Bryant, Luke and Tammy Turner, all of Ball Ground, Janice Carpenter and Robert Hedrick of Dawsonville; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. March 9 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tom Stradley, Ricky Byrd, J.B. Reese and Steve Warren officiating. Interment followed in Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
