Wendell Ray "Red" Smith, 46, of Dawsonville, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008.

  

He attended The Church at War Hill in Dawsonville.

  

Survivors include his wife, Linda Dean Smith; son, Eric Ray Smith; grandsons, Braxto Smith and Stanley Smith; father and mother, Bobby Ray and Frances Smith; sisters, Bonnie McFall and Debbie Rose Forrester; brother, Bobby Ray Smith, Jr.; stepsons, Robbie Payne and Jason Payne; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frances and Carroll Waters, Shirley Dean, Billie Dean and James Dean; grandchildren, Jonesie Payne, Jordan Payne, Densteen Payne, Alex Payne, Holden Payne, Brock Alison, Charlie Smith and Kadencie Gene Payne; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 21 at 3 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Don Allen officiating.

  

Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

  Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
