Vestal Lamar Pitchford, 40, of Dawsonville, died Monday, June 8, 2009.

  

Vestal was born in Habersham County. He lived most of his life in Cleveland, Ga. and had lived in Dawsonville for the past two years.

  

He worked for Aubrey's Roadside Tire in Dawsonville.

  

His brother, Milen Pitchford preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his daughters, Halie Pitchford and Carlie Pitchford, both of Cleveland; parents, Clarence and Betty Stringer Pitchford of Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law, Coletis and Kenny Wimpy of Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law, Aubrey and Kathy Pitchford of Dawsonville; soul mate, Salina Copeland of Dawsonville; nephews, Matt, Kyle, Austin and Zackery; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. June 12, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with the Revs. Doug Miolen and Phillip Robinson officiating.

  

Interment followed in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery #2 in Lumpkin County.

  

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
