Van Keifer Skelton III, 63, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 6, 2017. Born March 10, 1954 in Miami, Fla., to the late Van and Dorothy Skelton, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 21 years, having moved from Cobb County. Mr. Skelton enjoyed fishing, cooking, classic cars, gardening, was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville.
