Valerie Jean Martin, 29, of Forsyth County, died March 12, 2013.

Valerie loved her family and friends intensely.

She was high spirited and full of life.

Valerie worked as a home health aide at ResCare HomeCare in Gainesville and was very passionate about her work. Her pride and joy was her yorkie, Lillie Jean Martin.

Survivors include her father, David Martin of Cumming; mother, Carolyn Martin of Dahlonega; sisters, Tracey Jordan of Kennesaw, Beth Martin of Dahlonega; brother, Billy Scott of Hiawassee; aunt, Marie Waldrop, Laura Dean Carnes, both of Cumming; uncle, W.L. Martin of Cumming; nieces and nephews, Paige Scott, Bill Scott, Jesse Scott, Cooper Cassert; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 15, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Martin officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
