Tony R. Gravitt, 60, of Cumming, died May 18, 2014.

He was a lifelong member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

His father, Charles L. Gravitt, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dale Gravitt of Cumming; mother, Charlotte Heard Gravitt of Cumming; children, Amy and Davey Bales, Jeff and Alycia Gravitt, all of Cumming; brothers, Avery L. and Kay Gravitt, Dexter Gravitt, all of Cumming; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Sheila Paynter of Austin, Texas; other survivors, Benjamin Bales, Lilly Bales, Abby Gravitt, Nate Gravitt, Will Bales and Drew Gravitt; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 21 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Garry English, Robert Martin and Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Bible fund, www.fca.org.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
