Tony Gallo, 61, of Dacula, died July 15, 2018.
Mr. Gallo was born Aug. 9, 1956 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Rocco and Rose Gallo. He had been a resident of Dacula for 12 years having moved from Atlanta.
For many years he worked alongside his wife at Eastern Airlines. A retired police captain, Tony was a 20-year veteran of the Dekalb County Police Department who had received numerous awards and decorations over his prestigious career.
After retirement he enjoyed Lake Lanier and dedicated the rest of his life to his family and dogs.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Deborah Gallo of Dacula; son, Nicholas Gallo of Dacula; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Fred Becking of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, John and Debra Gallo of New Jersey; brother-in-law, Rick Griffeth of Atlanta; beloved K-9 companion, Cooper; a number of nieces, nephews; various other relatives also survive.
Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. July 21, 2018 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Father Brian Higgins will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
