Thomas F. “Tom” Foley, 77, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 2, 2018. Born Aug. 26, 1940 in Pennsylvania to the late Eugene T. and Mary Foley, he lived in Marietta and purchased a lake home in Dawson County in 1986. He became a full time resident 18 years ago. Mr. Foley was a former high school teacher and basketball coach. After teaching he became the Director of Marketing for McGraw-Hill Publishing for thirty years and then served as Senior Vice-President of Computer Curriculum Corporation until his retirement. Tom served on the Dawson County Board of Elections for 18 years and was Co-Chairman of the Dawson County Democratic Party.
