Taylor Hammond Gazaway, 17, of Evans, died May 26, 2011.

Born July 29, 1993, Mr. Gazaway was a native of Forsyth County and had lived in Evans for the past 5 years.

He had attended Greenbrier High School and was a 2011 graduate of Evans High School.

He possessed a strong commitment to enter the medical field.

Taylor was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Dawson County and was very active in West Acres Baptist Church in Evans.

His brother, Sean Michael Dover, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Dana and Joey Banker of Evans; father, Keith Gazaway and his fiancé, Jennifer Smith of Gray Court, S.C.; sisters, Amanda Gazaway, Lauren Banker, both of Evans, Grace Gazaway of South Carolina; grandparents, Harold and Ruth Gazaway of Gainesville, Bill and Becky Sailors of Evans; uncles and aunts, Rusty and Glenda Gazaway of Gainesville, Chris and Deborah Sailors, Julie Sailors, both of Evans; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. May 30 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Revs. Ruel Martin, Stephen Davis and Bobby Whitmire officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Liberty Baptist Church, 66 Sundown Way, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
